The IOS XRv 9000 6.0.0 release is now available for VIRL users.
PLEASE READ THE NOTES BELOW CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE IMAGE.
IOS XRv 9000 (aka Sunstone) is the 1st VM released running the 64-bit IOS XR operating system as used on the NCS-6xxx platform. Users running VIRL 1.0.0 or later are able to download and install the image.
NOTE: Use on VIRL releases prior to 1.0.0 is not supported. You MUST be using VM Maestro Dev-363 or later.
The XRv 9000 image is 2.4Gb in size. Due to the size, the image is NOT available for download via the normal 'VIRL Software' page in UWM. Users are able to download the image via the My Account page (https://virl.mediuscorp.com/my-account/431) and then selecting the 'Download VIRL' link.
Download the image to your laptop and then upload the image into VIRL via the 'Node Resources/Images' tab in UWM.
The VM requires the following compute resources in order to run:
- 4 vCPUs
- 16Gb RAM
- 50Gb free disk
Once added in to your system, you must update VM Maestro to add the IOS XRv 9000 to the list of available nodes:
- Launch VM Maestro
- Select 'File / Preferences / Node Subtypes
- Press 'Fetch From Server'
- Press 'Apply'
The IOS XRv 9000 instance can be configured by AutoNetkit.
