Why we create OSPF Area ID like 0.0.0.2 or any thing in 4 octet
Internet Address 198.51.100.51/24, Area 0.0.0.0
Internet Address 172.18.1.1/24, Area 0.0.0.2
no reason, u can use either area 0.0.0.x or area x. meaning area 0.0.0.2 is area 2.
Area is 32 bit number.
We can choose any notation, in last IOS version use dotted decimal, in previous IOS version was simple number - 0 or 2.
