I have been reading the following books as preparation for Data Centre certifications, am I missing any good book that u know..?
Help me out..
The books :
1) Cisco Data Centre Fundamentals
2) Storage Networking Fundamentals
3) Cisco Campus Network Design Fundamentals
4) Cisco Top-Down Network Design.
That's a GREAT list thank you so much for contributing it! This will be a good resource for others as they begin the journey as well.
I have Cisco Press Data Centre Fundamentals, 2004 in hardcopy and will use it to prepare for the
As for now I think..., CCNP DC is the goal!
how about this book?
1. Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS) (Data Center): A Complete Reference Guide to the Cisco Data Center Virtualization Server Architecture
2. NX-OS and Cisco Nexus Switching: Next-Generation Data Center Architectures
I should also be sure to point to our Study/Learn resource list for the DCICN Exam...
These resources are meant to supplement your learning experience and exam preparation. They are NOT designed to serve as a complete self-study program, but intended only as a suggested starting point.
Thanks for the addition @Piston...
@Matt Saunders : Thanks for the link and any idea when official learning guides will be coming up??
Unfortunately, any info I would have right now would just be purely speculation, but I would say that the demands (thirst) for the info is known and shall be responded to... I do also promise to keep the group updated as I know of official information...
Here's another great discussion/paper on Datacenter Design by Sandeep. It would be a great background design information to help you start looking at DC design for your certification paths.
can u tell me where to start the preparation of ccna ??
currently i am doing MS in electrical engineering but with this i want to have a ccna and ccnp certification
The Product Manager also refered me to the published reading list for the CCIE Data Center Certification. While some of the reading may be more in depth then required for CCNA the topics do still apply. The exception is probably the Nexus OS content. I hope this helps.
You're very welcome, I'm glad you see it that way too! If your interested in a IPS/ASA Webinar too this is a pretty good one.
Going for the DCICN exam this friday
Thank you for the information about books and resources. Very hepfull all this comments, links and ideas about what to read or not to read for this certification.
However, both CCT Data Center e-learning course material and good understanding on CCNA R&S could be a good fundamental step to prepare for this CCNA Data Center.
