I configured dhcp server on a cisco router together with dns server with these commands:
Router(config)#ip dhcp pool 184.108.40.206-5
Router(dhcp-config)#network 220.127.116.11 18.104.22.168
Now i want to remove dns server from the router and setup a dedicated dns server instead. How do i remove/disable DNS server which is running on the router?
"no" will remove command that follows; but there are several main commands by default on every router; what you got above is config for DHCP pool;
do show run and look for following commands:
|ip domain lookup||Enables DNS-based host name-to-address translation. This command is enabled by default.|
|ip name-server||Specifies the address of one or more name servers.|
