This is the code I used to make my router DHCP router
Router(config-if)#ip address 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0
Router(config)#ip dhcp excluded-address 192.168.10.1 192.168.10.3
Router(config)#ip dhcp pool voice
Router(dhcp-config)#network 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0
Router(dhcp-config)#option 150 ip 192.168.10.1

I'm using packet tracer, I'm doing this exercise http://www.packettracernetwork.com/voipconfiguration.html
but they used VLAN0 for voice and I was studying in the book the configurations I added with 2 seprate VLANS.
The DHCP network
network 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0
Noor, I looked through your packet tracer configuration. 1. Your link between the Router and switch was not configured as Trunk port. 2. Your router should be configured as Router-on-a-stick to enable the voice and data vlan dhcp pool to be sent. 3. The packet tracer file you sent does not have the dhcp configured on it. I believe if you can try and check the first two steps above, you will be able to assign IP address to the phone. find attached what I did to your configuration. I even configure 1 dn which one of the IP phone was able to get from the cme router.

well, I followed the steps in http://www.packettracernetwork.com/voipconfiguration.html after it worked I decided to add 2 VLANS like the book suggest, but had the previeous problem.
Also yah I removed the DHCP configuration from my file when I noticed that the interfaces are not under voice VLAN
now, I will make that network again using the extra steps u added

Hi Suresh, a private VLAN can be configured on a port, you can strictly control what communication the port members can do. For example, you can make it so client ports can only communicate with a gateway and/or a server, and not with each other.
