I believe that this track is retired and replaced with CCNP Service Provider.

    Hi Lewis,

Based on the information that you have provided, it appears that your BSCI exam expired on Jan 12, 2012 and is no longer valid towards CCIP, so yes, passing the 642-902 ROUTE will be required. Be advised that Professional level 642 exams are valid for 3 years from the date they are passed.

To achieve the CCIP certification, you will need to have a valid CCNA certification (or any valid CCIE certification can act as a pre-requisite) and pass the following exams:

    642-902 ROUTE

    642-642 QOS

    642-661 BGP

    642-611 MPLS

    OR

    642-902 ROUTE

    642-642 QOS

    642-691 BGP+MPLS

Please note that the CCIP certification will be retired and no new CCIP certifications will be issued beginiing October 29, 2012. To obtain CCIP certified status, you will need to complete the CCIP requirements by or before October 28, 2012.

Best of luck to you on your certification goals!
