I am new here, I am planning to get CCNA certified during the next months. I have a doubt regarding the exam options. If I decide to go for the separate ICND1 and ICND2 path, is it possible to take ICND2 right away after passing ICND1 or there is some constraint time gap between them?
Thanks in Advance
As Rajiv said, you can take ICND2 right away. You could even take it first (although I don't know why you would take ICND2 first). I typically recommend the 2 test approach as opposed to the composite exam. I only recommend the composite exam when someone has a ton of experience and is 100% confident in their ability to pass it. The cost of the 2 exam approach is roughly the same as the composite exam. Therefore failing a single exam is cheaper if you take ICND1 and ICND2 individually.
Thank you Rajiv and Paul,
Correct and useful answers.
Definitively I agree with you Paul, I will use the 2 exam approach for my CCNA.
As Rajiv and Paul have already mentioned, there is no waiting period between taking different exams, so yes, you can take the ICND2 exam anytime after passing ICND1.
However, for your reference, you should review the exam retake policy as there are waiting periods for candidates looking to retake a failed exam or a passed exam.

i would like to add a doubt here..
i am going to attend CCNA in a few days..
so.. if at all by chance i flunk in it.. ( which i wont)
will it b compulsary to take the same again..
or will i b able to go for the 2 exam mode :O
I dont think is compulsory you take the 2 step mode if the composite doesn't go well.
All the best in your upcoming ccna exam.
