Hello everyone, I have my own lab and a few months ago, I was practicing some commands and I could use the "interface range command". And now, when type it, it does not show me any options with "Range"!

Bellow the switche's configuration:

Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software

IOS (tm) C2900XL Software (C2900XL-C3H2S-M), Version 12.0(5)WC17, RELEASE SOFTWA

RE (fc1)

Copyright (c) 1986-2007 by cisco Systems, Inc.

Compiled Tue 13-Feb-07 15:27

The options for interface command:

Switch(config)#interface ?

FastEthernet FastEthernet IEEE 802.3

Multilink Multilink-group interface

Port-channel Ethernet Channel of interfaces

VLAN Switch VLAN Virtual Interface

Virtual-TokenRing Virtual TokenRing

Switch(config)#interface range ?

% Unrecognized command

Switch(config)#interface range

I've been trying to find some related informations on cisco websites and forums, but nothing so far!

Any Idea why the command does not work?

Tks everyone!

    Re: IP Interface Range Command

Not sure it is supported in the IOS version you have. From the DOCs:

    h2. interface range

To execute commands on multiple subinterfaces at the same time, use the interface range command in global configuration command mode.

    interface range {fastethernet interfacenumber - interfacenumber | gigabitethernet interfacenumber - interfacenumber | loopback number | tunnel number | port-channel number | vlan number | macro word}

Your XL switches will not have the interface-range command.

    http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/Dispatch?act=rlsSelect&task=search

This website allows you to search features of IOS images. Look for the Interface Range Specification feature.
