Anyone started preparing for the DC written? May be we could start a study group or share our study plans.
I am planning to start with the config guides for Nexus, UCS and ACE.
I will be in the CCIE written class from IP Expert this summer / fall. I'm more interested in how lab prerparation is going to work with an expensive blueprint like that...
I would not go in for any bootcamp atleast for written... for me it there are lot of resources available from csco press books, Cisco Live ppt, cisco design documents and youtube....
I would suggest search the material on google.. you would find lot to study....
I am actually a self study guy.... We can always share our thoughts about learning process and our doubts...
Lets make a group and start studying .... I am planning for Lab by end of this year. that is last quarter...
I know the instructor pretty well, I trust him, this is my 2nd ccie. There are some points on the written where I think I'm in very good shape, and some points where I'm in not so good shape, so I think it will help. I do agree though that the material now will be suspect being that its so new.
Thats good... I have nothing against any one of these training provider... However i really prefer to first give it a my 100%, when i feel i am now done then i would think abt going for instructior or not...
Everyone ... lets make a study group here or in anyother website... What are your timelines ?
And what do you expect the value of Prestigious Data Center CCIE to be in next 2-3 years ?
Folks , looking at the various config guides, it seems there are roughly 10,000 pages of documentation of just config guides and we have about 50 days to go till the last day of Beta. That comes to about 200 pages per day.
Theres no way I can possibly do that. Still I'll try my luck. For now my plan is to cover ACE & N7K.
Please share your tricks / thoughts on taming this monster.
Please note the the list below excludes troubleshooting/config examples, design guides & all docs for DCNM & nexus 1000v. There will be some overlap between n5k & n7k docs.

I do not think MPLS will be part of exam it is not listed clearly in blueprint. Also for LAB Multihop FCoE may not be part of exam as there is no FCoE line card support for MDS 9222i and N7K does not have native FC ports, unless exam ask you to do some wiered FCoE config like N5K-1 -> N7K -> N5K-2 -> MDS.
Also You missed all MDS configuration guides.
Where can we get recommended reading list books at a discounted price (apart from Cisco Press)?
I am looking for I/O Consolidation and UCS book ...
i also prepare for this beta exam i study from
what else recomanded topics any one know ?
