Now that v2 of CCNP wireless has been announced, the deadline of taking v1 exams is fast approaching (may 11th), and the hopeful release of CCNP Wireless quick ref study guides coming out in may, is there any one interested in participating in some structured study discussions?
I'd like to give it a week or so to see if anyone else is interested. I am hoping that Nigel, Ricky, Andrew and others will be interested. Then we'll set up some loose protocol to help keep it all organized, find out where everyone is at and go from there. We'll have to approach this a little differently than the CCNA Wireless study group, simply because there a 4 tests and everyone may be studying for a different test and in a different order. Also, some people may have already passed v1 tests, so we'll need to keep that in mind.
I'm hoping to do my final exam this week as I've been studying the V1 material for a while and want to get it done.
I'm going for the Voice exam - it's been the hardest to study for by a long way with all that QOS & Multicast stuff!!! (Makes my brain hurt).
So, if I manage to pass, I'll probably not be taking part.
...but. if things go badly, I'll come crawling back...
Jared, another great idea! Thanks.
I passed the last of the four exams last month (IUWVN), and next I plan to study for CCNP R&S, then eventually CCIE Wireless. But I always enjoy reading the discussions in this forum, and would be glad to participate when available.
Nigel, I agree the QoS and Multicast is painful! I went into the exam not fully prepared for QoS questions and could still use some study time on those topics for sure. Good luck on the exam!
Congrats Andrew! We've got CCNP wiress certified people before we get this study group going. I'd be very interested in hear you perspectives, especially in comparing the new track and old track. I took the opposite approach and did CCNP R&S first, then went back to wireless. Once I hit CCNP wireless, I am going to move to design.
Great news on this revival! Let me know how I can help! Good luck to you all who are about to take an exam on passing with flying colors!

I will be working on the CUWSS first I believe. ( I have not started on any of the NP level stuff yet), but would not mind joining in on some of the discussions as it sounds like there will be a lot of good information flying around!
Thanks for asking - I managed to pass the exam, which is real relief. It's taken me a long time to get the CCNP wireless!.
The lack of study guides for the CCNP wireless had made it incredibly difficult to learn everything. It's ok reading Cisco design guies etc., but Cisco need to provide more direction about which documents are relevant to each exam area if they are not going to create study guides.
I think I'm going to be looking at the CWNP exam 'CWAP' next ( at least that's got a study guide!)
I don't know if I'll ever get up to CCIE level - that looks a very difficult mountain to climb.
