I have an MPLS network with OSPF. The interface is configured like this on a 6504 switch:

interface TenGigabitEthernet2/2

description LNK ->

mtu 1600

bandwidth 10000000

ip address xx.xx.xx.26 255.255.255.252

ip ospf message-digest-key 1 md5 7 000A2A0E175442525C191D080E

ip ospf hello-interval 2

mpls ip

rmon collection history 7 owner campusmanager buckets 10 interval 300

!

Q: How do you run layer 2 over this interface? The interface at the other end is the same config.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Hi,

    you could use

    interface TenGigabitEthernet2/2

    mpls label protocol ldp

    mpls ip

    and

    xconnect xx.xx.xx.25 VC_ID encapsulation mpls

    xconnect xx.xx.xx.26 VC_ID encapsulation mpls

on the interface going to the CE on each device.

VC_ID should be the same on both

    Regards,

    -Ahmad
