Does anyone know any websites where I can practise my subnetting so I can see if I;m ready for my ICND1 exam?
You may want to check out the Games Arcade page here on the Cisco Learning Network where you will find learning games on subnetting, binary, and more.
Good luck on your studies!

as lee stated before. http://www.subnettingquestions.com/ is the best website to practice the subnetting questions.
it has questions in all formats and they are random everytime you open the website.
so its good for practicing.
Class A [0-126] /8 = 255.0.0.0 = 11111111.00000000.00000000.00000000
Class B [128-191] /16 = 255.255.0.0 = 11111111.11111111.00000000.00000000
Class C [192-223] /24 = 255.255.255.0 = 11111111.11111111.11111111.00000000
128, 64, 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1
128, 192, 224, 240, 248, 252, 254, 255
/11 = 11111111..0000000.0000000
2^(3)=8 (number of subnets)
256 / 8 = 32 (subnet partition size/ multiple )
32 - 2 = 30 (number of usable hosts per subnet)
0 is subnet zero of first subnet
1 is first host of first subnet
30 is last host of first subnet
31 is broadcast of first subnet
32 is subnet zero of of second subnet
33 is first host of second subnet
62 is last host of second subnet
63 is broadcast of second subnet
64 is subnet zero of third subnet
One thing i can advice you to learn quick and fast is to subnet from a situation where you get a subnetmask you're not familiar with. For instance, you need a network with 254 hosts, 56 hosts and 48 hosts and you are presented with the network: 192.168.0.0/22.
Don't be confused with the /22 mask with a "Class C" address. Just saying that you need to be prepared for all available scenarios once you are, you are prepared well enough for the exam! Because you may run into questions and scenarios you have not practiced before, the exams test your knowledge very thoroughly.
