VTP Config

Hiii Friends,

 

Please find Below Configuration & Correct my config...

 

Server# conf t

Server(Config)# vtp mode server

Server(Config)# vtp domain password cisco

Server(Config)#do show vtp status

VTP Version                                  : 2

Configuration Revision                    :  0

Maximum VLANs supported locally : 255

Number of existing VLANs             : 5

VTP Operating Mode                     : Server

VTP Domain Name                       : cisco

VTP Pruning Mode                       : Disabled

VTP V2 Mode                              : Disabled

VTP Traps Generation                  : Disabled

MD5 digest                                  : 0xAB 0x8A 0xB6 0xF8 0x91 0x34 0x79 0xDA

Configuration last modified by 0.0.0.0 at 0-0-00 00:00:00

Local updater ID is 0.0.0.0 (no valid interface found)

 

 

Client#conf t

Client(config)#vtp mode client

Client(config)#int fa0/1

Client(config-if)#switchport mode trunk

Client(config-if)#do sho vtp st

VTP Version                     : 2

I have to manually configure in client mode same as server mode...Is it require to config full command as server mode..

 

Help me with VTP Configuration.....

    I don't understand your question, but... by default all catalyst switches are VTP servers, in order to change the mode to other than this (to transparent or client) you must manually set it with the "vtp mode transparent | client" global configuration command.

    your passwords dont match...look at the md5 hash

    Look at the revision number field in the given output, is zero, so he haven't created anything on any switch. The question isn't clear, too.
