Same here. Wondering if its some hack because I am the only one that touches the routers here and it just showed up in the ios.

Don't think it's a hack more default line 2 config in your case i.e it allows all transport protocols by default and in my case applicable to the aux port, could do with clarification from Scott Morris or someone though.
Come to think of it, I may not have added the code, but Cisco may. I recently threw in a 4 port switching module and had to upgrade the ios to 15.0(1r)M1. I'll bet with the updated IOS or the module, came the extra code.
