I can't answer as to Cisco-Authorized CCNA study materials as they have changed in the four years since I took mine. I would say, next time take a closer look at the tutorial prior to taking the exam, and then pay attention to detail when actual doing the simlet/simulations. I have always found them to be fairly straight forward.
Also, you can re-schedule your exam for free using the following promotion:
Cisco Learning Network itself can be a very useful training medium for certification training. There are practice questions in the Certification Center which can be accompanied with Learning Modules available in the Learning Center. The Cisco Learning Network is also a community where users can ask technical questions that can be answered by those who have gained experience within the field. And let's not forget the Cisco Learning Games, an interactive tool that allows you to learn binary codes (and more) and have fun doing it.
There are several other sites on Cisco.com that you may find useful:
Cisco Tools and Support: *Download free or fee-based softwares or configurations
NetPro Community: *Another community of Networking Professionals and Experts in the field
Cisco Products and Services: *You can click on the Products and Services listed on this page and you may find some good tips & other tools

You said - "I think i screwed up simulator questions so dont want to take another chance." I would say the BEST tool for getting ready for the sims on the CCNA and for that matter ANY Cisco exam is TONS of HANDS-ON PRACTICE !!!!!! Doing lab after lab after lab until ANYTHING that you read or see about the routers or switches is like the back of your hand!!!
I would rather work with real routers and switches in your own home lab but sims can be ok and emulators run the real IOSs. The bottom line is nothing beats practice, practice and more practice. Get a Cisco Press CCNA lab book (that they use in the Cisco Network Academies) and work through ALL the labs!
Hope this helps!
I can confirm the 403 forbidden error for the link, http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/support/index.html
I opened it in a different brower, it asked me to log in, I did, then it took me to the 403 error.
