This is very interesting as I am getting ready to swap out 2 WiSMv1's for two brand new WiSM2's. We are also going to be upgrading to 7.2.130.
Thanks for the post!
The original roaming issue was seen using a Proxim Orinoco USB adapter on windows 7. This adapter does not support CCX nor CCKM.
I installed a intel 1000 BGN and also installed the intel ProSet software. I created a profile using the ProSet and it gave me an option to enable CCX and also use CCKM.
I was not really seeing better results so I ran some debugs and checked logs and have determined that the clients are sometimes being excluded with a reason code of "2". (802.11 association max failed attempts).
I am not able to find any good documents on this above exclusion code. When this occurs the client is being excluded for 60 seconds. After 60 seconds the client will reassociate.
I have client exclusions set on all WLANs and default timers of 60 seconds on all.
Has anyone ever encountered this? Has anyone ever had to turn off the client exclusions?
Thanks guys for all the post/help.
