Hi Guys,

Have any of you guys had a chance to work with the nexus 7000 18 slot chassis.

i have a new Data center coming up in the new year and i wanted to get some views on the performance / power draw/ functionality of the unit? How does it manage on cooling the unit with side vents from stacking racks next to each other.

I will be designing this Data center with this unit in mind. Worse case if the reviews aren't good i will go back to the 7000 or stick with the good old faithful 6509/6515 on core and aggregation as well as access layer. i will still maintain MDS series on SAN side.

Any thoughts or suggestions on the unit is welcome.

Grant

I'd recommend watching the techwise TV on it. It is very helpful. On your vent question, it has front and rear vents. It pushes the hot hair through the back. I'm still a newb, but that's cool.
