Yes, you can use the Cisco Configuration Professional (CCP) with GNS3.
Maybe even with a guide CNA Cisco Network Assistant would be interesting very interesting!
How?, Have you ever installed SDM, it't the same logic. So, you just have to download the Cisco Configuration Professional (CCP) and install it in your PC.
Here is a good link http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9422/index.html
Any problems, please post.
I have installed CCP v2.5 and updated into v2.6 but the thing is I do configure on router of GNS3 with required command and enabled http... I have set MICROSOFT LOOPBACK ADAPTOR and IP configuration too... but while entering username, password at CCP window there is one option DISCOVERY, it says discovery fails........ I have refresh but the answer is same...
The problem is ... connection missing between GNS3 router configuration and CCP...
Now do you know what could be the main problem please !!!
Thanks & Best Regards,
hoping that u have configured the neccessary things,
> username thapa privilege 15 secret cisco
> ip http server
> ip http authentication local
> login local
> transport input telnet ssh
before giving discover check that there is an option " connect secure "
disable it and then try to discover the router

Thank you very much @RAJASEKARAN for you kind information I will check it.
CCP will work. However, I tried it on 2621XM and the integrated voice configuration will not appear. You cannot configure telephony features and manage end devices. I hook it up to 2801 and the integrated voice configuration appears. So I believe telephony feature for CCP will only be visible in ISR routers. That's just my observation.
For UC features to be supported by CCP, you need CME v7 or higher. Since 26xx and 37xx routers end at IOS 12.4(15)T this means you are stuck with CME V4.x . You can use a 7200 Router in GNS3 and use 12.4(24)T which gives you CME v7.
Can you help please, still have glitches linking CCP with GNS3. ios platform is 7200series. I think there is more needed to be configured on the side of the GNS3. I look forward to ur support.
Hi Durga, did that config work? I have tried everything I know to link my CCP on laptop to GNS3 router but connection fails, i am obviously missing something but cannot work out how to link the 2 together. How do you get router to ping your PC? any help will be greatly appreciated guys.
Found link to use MS loopback Interface so hoping it works, will post solutions once it works....you tube Keith Barker adding your pc to GNS3
it works after reboots, and adding ip address to MS loopback interface and tying into GNS3 router, I can finally use CCP with GNS3 router, although some platform and IOS support issues nevertheless time to play....thanks Keith and others
For the life of me, I cannot find the".exe" file for CCP. I've tried downloading it from CISCO and the executable is nowhere to be seen when I check the bundle. What am I missing? Worst case, I'm good with the command line, but that's not enough for the test obviously...
How did the rest of you go about finding the right file to load CCP? Do you load files "onto the router" or did you "load an executable file" onto the PC? If some of you loaded an executable file onto your PC, "where did you find it?"
