Hi,

I would like to know if somebody knows how to configure a Qemu host on GNS3 0.7.2 running on Ubuntu 10.04.

I have found in the following link

http://brezular.wordpress.com/2011/04/02/gns3-qemu-troubleshooting/

a reference to a patch QEMU that can be found at

http://blog.gns3.net/2009/10/olive-juniper/2/7.2

I would like to know first if this patch is still require when running GNS3 0.7.2 and

and

what will be the results of doing the following commands

sudo apt-get install libncurses5-dev zlib1g-dev libsdl-dev libpcap-dev

wget http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/qemu/qemu-0.11.0.tar.gz

tar xvzf qemu-0.11.0.tar.gz

cd qemu-0.11.0

wget http://downloads.sourceforge.net/gns-3/qemu-0.11.0-olive.patch?download

patch -p1 -i qemu-0.11.0-olive.patch

./configure --target-list=i386-softmmu

make

sudo make install

Does the patching will produce a new qemu-img file that should be utilized in Path to Qemu-img of the General Settings of Qemu preference

Also would like to know Path to Qemu only refers to the directory where Qemu-img is installed.

Thanks for your help
Stephane
