I am entry level networking technician and now looking into receiving my CCNA. Can you provide me any suggestions or study tips(material, videos, docs) on passing the CCNA? Is the CCENT (ISDN 1) the first part of getting CCNA? Looking to be pointed in the direction. Well, thanks for your help.
Peace Everyone...I know asked this question before and received great answers. I plan on attacking the CCENT cert exam after September this year which includes 100-101 ICND1. Any suggestions on studying for the CCENT cert. which includes 100-101 ICND1. I will be studying by myself and with other friends. Thank you all in advance..
I noticed you have not joined any study group yet, so I'd like to recommend that you join at least one of these:
Take a look at this link too, particularly in the section Route Switch Member Led Study Sessions:
Feel free to post questions on those study groups and the members of this community will do their best to support you.
From printed material, there are a lot of recommendations from different people, but the one I can talk about - because I used it - is the same as the other guys in this thread already mentioned, the Official Cert Library (ICND1 and ICND2) written by Wendell Odom.
Good luck in your studies.
You're welcome, Civilize.
Just a note of clarification. I used the old ICND1 and ICND2 to prepare for my Cisco cert. However, I am reading the new material of 100-101 and 200-101 because there are new contents interesting for me and that I didn't see in the old ones (content relevant for the new cert). And as far as I can tell, the author kept his good work.
Another thing to keep in mind in case you haven't bought any book yet: when you go buy OCGs, in case you really go with this material, search for special offers like "bundles" that include ICND1 and ICND2 for a cheaper price and/or that comes with practice exams from Pearson (I don't know whether or not there is any version of those books that don't come with these things, but I thought it would be worth pointing out).
At some point, you might probably want to measure your preparation level for Cisco exams and those practice tests help a lot.
