How do we have to see this, as less a valuable certification compare to other CCIE certifications? or the growth of change in storage networking is so fast that experts have to keep up with the new technologies.

can someone assist here

I did some comparison of all of the CCIE and CCDE certifications, and they're all only valid for two years before you either have to recertify or be marked inactive (and eventually expired).

    Hi Epaz,

All CCIE certifications are valid for 2 years. To maintain active CCIE status, CCIEs are required to pass either a CCIE written exam of their choosing from among all of the currently available written exams or a CCIE lab exam in a new track every 24 months.

Candidates who do not pass a qualifying CCIE recertification exam before the recertification deadline will be placed in suspended status for 12 months. Candidates who have their CCIE suspended will have 12 months to pass the required recertification exam before their CCIE certification becomes permanently inactive.

For more detailed information, please check out the About Recertification page www.cisco.com/go/recertification

    Regards,
