We are NOT moving to v4.0. You WILL be given a min 6 months notice when a move to a new blueprint is occuring.
This announcement is only to inform candidates that CK questions are out as of August 15th 2011. This means you will have more hands-on lab work with more troubleshooting tasks. There is no separate TS section. It is one 8 hour exam that covers configuring and troubleshooting. The exam is based on v3.0.
So now the date has been shifted to 15th Aug 2011 !!
When can i expect an official announcement as my lab is on 3rd Aug.
Thanks and Regards
hope cisco give the official announcement ASAP.
if I had scheduled lab now but date is 7 OCT .
Which version of lab will I get with CK or without ?
Is there a chance to have a sneak preview of 4.0? I'm not planning my lab this year, and would focus my studdy on 4.0 and take the lab when it's on.
Is the change from August 15th will be confirmed or it may also have chances to get postpone again. Pls tell me because my exam is on 31st august. So, that i can confirm my exam and prepare according to the changes or as of previous lab with Short answer questions.
I have booked my CCIE Sec Lab on 15th aug-2011, now i am really confused about the preparation..... will i get Tshoot or Core-Knowledge...... ????
please do inform me as soon as possible...
It seems to be a bad news for us. we will wait for official directions about TS
The official Cisco annoucement regarding the end of OEQs for Security and Storage Networking is here:
Hopefully this clears things up for everyone now.
Remember there is NO change to the actual exam content in terms of the blueprint version. It is version 3.0.
This is great news! So, for folks like myself who legitimately passed the lab but failed by one subjective trivia question, can we expect our numbers?
But why isnt it given on the official website http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/ccie/announcements/index.html . Ans also the document posted by Mr.Tom says that core question has been removed, but does not indicate the addition of troubleshooting section (like R&S Lab). So that means only & only core questions have been removed and no troubleshooting section has been added?
Effective August 15, 2011, CCIE Security Lab Exam and CCIE Storage Networking Lab Exam, in all global locations, will no longer include the four open-ended Core Knowledge questions. The removal of Core Knowledge questions allow candidates to utilize the total lab time for configuration and troubleshooting. The total lab time will remain eight hours
So we will expect lot of troubleshooting questions?
Are they adding more lab content/questions to make up for taking out the OEQ's or are they simply negating the OEQ's and having people jump right into the lab portion?
