One of our remote workers in our company has begun to experience issues with his IP communicator app with calls being dropped mid conversation, while working from his home office. This has happened with both external customers calls and internal numbers. In each case the call goes dead and phones shows a message:
UCM Down, feature disabled
Has anyone encountered this issue before and what is the best way to troubleshoot it.
This is because the IP Communicator is losing connection with the primary Call Manager.
The way i would go to troubleshoot is -
1. A packet Trace on the IP Communicator to check if the connection if breaking.
2. Look at RTMT traces.
Based on the output, i would branch out to a few other steps. I don't know if this is the best way to go about, but i thought of adding my bit.
