The aim of this post is to gather as much preparation resource information for SSPO and Onwards as possible at one place.
Anyone who has ,
1.Given the Exam - & Passed
2.Given the Exam - & Failed
3.Preparing for the Exam -
4.Thinking to Prepare for the Exam - (Most People Are Here)
is requested to share any amount of information/ideas/advice they have to start-off in this Cert.Track.
Since there is such a scarcity of information about this line, it would be very beneficial for all to collaborate.
Thanks to all Future Contributors. Happy certifying
As of now I know about the following
Info derived from first 3 practice sets- all the credit for this goes to http://cciedreamer.blogspot.com/
SSPO Set 1:-
Topics I need to review:
NGN Architectural Layer
Service Exchange Framework
For NGN Architecture, there's an ASR9k link which seems the most relevant:
I'll be reading this many times over.
Service Exchange Framework is here:
Cisco's Introduction to eTOM:
As for ITIL, there's a comparison to eTOM on the above link. We'll see if I need to know more than that.
SSPO Set 2:-
Cisco information center:
Cisco ip solution center:
SSPO Set 3-
Key Performance Indicator:
Incident Management vs. Problem Management:
Well done Shaurya, nice references.
I find really pityful the behavior of Cisco concerning "SP Operations" certification series : Absolutely NO documentation! and no communications about it.
ALL the interest that this series sparks is the amazing combination of business and technical skills (eTOM, ITIL, PPDIOO, FCAPS, SP framework) and this is particularly interesting with CCNP and CCIE SP Operation levels.
Studying for each of these items, is overwhelming, it makes NO SENSE to propose to the candidates to the whole job.
It's like coming out with a book with only tittles and outlines, and white pages, and up to the reader to make the most interesting work, filling up these pages.
Thanks for this info.
I have taken a year off work, and am finally getting round to starting to study for my CCNA. I saw this exam being released last year while I was involved in a big project and didn't have time to manage work a life and studying.
I am suprised that there is still no ciscopress book for this subject as there seems to be a lot of interest. It looks like a few people on this board have taken the exam, but they seem to suggest it was more luck than judgement.
I thought I may go the ICND --> CCNA SP route, but without the resources to back up learning and confirm I am studying the right topics I think I'll try for the full CCNA, and then study for ITIL as a seperate certificate.
lookinf further down the line the CCIP looks good, but thats a pipe dream for now
Best of luck
Hi fellas! I passed my 640-760 exam today 7th June! Wao! it was nerve racking for me as I really didn't know what to expect in the exam even though I had done a lots of studies from a wide variety of resources!
I must confess the Blueprint on the CLN really does the tricks for me! I studied the exam sylabus to the max! and also the review exams on the CLN was helpful, apart from this I also benefited from the fact that I previosly hold and ITILv3 Foundation certification so all I did was to refresh my ITILv3 skills by using the curent ITILv3 certification kit (study guide).
there is no magic to it you need to know your ITILv3 very well, and the blueprint I must reitorate will really help if you study based on it! over all it is a well constructed exam! one which will gain alot of popularity with professionals who work in the service delivery and NOC sector.! Thanks to Shaurya for his links on the certification discussion group! it helps alot!
Great insight and very useful information, hopefully this will inspire others. Congratulations and very well done!
Good work, Thank you.
