I have been reading about the above Extended link services but I need more clarification and definition for them, because am little bit struggling to define them and when are they used.
I know FDISC is used in NPV environments to translate server FLOGIs to FDISC through the NPV-enabled switch.
Guys, any help???
ADISC - used to verify the address and identity of another port
FDISC - as you say this is a virtual nx_port login, used when you have NPIV enabled and have an initiator that supports this, so that it can request additional logins after its already completed FLOGI
PDISC is used so that an nx_port can get service parameters from another nx_port without the destructive effects of a PLOGI
Thanks alot ..
