I passed this exam on Friday.
Used the following for study to do it:
ASA 5550 (Running the 8.3 code with ASDM 6.3) to learn my way around.
Cisco SNAF Quick Reference Guide
Cisco ASA All-in-One Firewall, IPS, Anti-X, and VPN Adaptive Security Appliance Book, 2nd Ed. by Jazib Frahim
My company just sent me to this class.
They also crammed in the advanced class in the same week.
I have all the course material and have also just purchased a brand new Cisco ASA5505.
I have a question regarding preparing. I am the type that has to get my hands dirty and work with the hardware. Is the ASA5505 a good firewall to work with and can I pass the SNAF exam as well using the courseware and doing the exercises on the ASA5505. We did do exercises in the class but I like to go back and redo the exercises.
Again congrats to you. :-)

Any device from the ASA 5000 range should work for you just make sure the IOS is 8.0 or later and the ASDM is 6.0 or later. Know your way around the ASDM and how to interpret it. As for the courseware and exercises I can't comment on since I don't know what you're using to train.
hope my replies are not so old, but you shoot take the SNAA exam right after , since there is no much new stuffs diferent on the exam. on the real world there is but not the exam.
