They're very different exams so it really depends on what you work at. The CISSP is vendor-neutral and more of a management level exam on information security, it is a lot less technical than the CCSP. The CCSP would indicate knowledge of configuring actual security solutions on Cisco equipment.

The CISSP is basicaly a non starter for actual Tech people. There is very little actual security in the material. Its more about what types of security are available and the PROSCESSES involved.

The CCSP is how to actualy do all these things with Cisco equipment.

Basicaly CCISP is so sales guys and managers can talk the talk and and the CCSP guys Walk the Walk.

              Hello dear friend....

              1. the CISSP program earned the ANSI ISO/IEC Standard 17024:2003 accreditation, the first IT certification to have done so.[[2]|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CISSP#cite_note-1] It is formally approved by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) in both their Information Assurance Technical (IAT) and Managerial (IAM) categories.[[3]|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CISSP#cite_note-2] The CISSP has been adopted as a baseline for the U.S. National Security Agency's ISSEP program[[4]|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CISSP#cite_note-3], which further extends the significance of the credential.

              2. you should have 4 years of prior experiance before enrolling for the exam.

              3. this exam basically is for Information security management people.....who does Auditing, security policy design for the corporation, risk management......ect.

              4. Pass the CISSP exam with a scaled score of 700 points or greater. The exam is multiple choice, consisting of 250 questions with four options each, to be answered over a period of six hours

              1. Cisco Career Certifications are IT professional certifications for Cisco products.

              2. The CCSP certification is an advanced network security certification. Candidates for the certification are tested for advanced knowledge of various Cisco security products.

              3. This exam is basically for technical people, who deal with configuring & Implementing VPN, PIX, ASA, Router & Switch security.

              4. to pass the exam you should score more that 85%, exam consist of 55-60 ques, all multiple choice, to clear CCSP according to new course u have to give 3 core exam and one elective

So, now you can ur self conclude from above that both the exams are the most important for people but are different paths of Security field...........if you want to go in management then go for CISSP, if u want to be technically expert in security then go for CCSP............both the certification provide great salary and reputation.

              the choice is yours.....B-)
