Will VIRL (GNS3) really run well on VMware Player?
I want it for CCNA R/S then CCNP Enterprise or CCNx.
32 GB RAM w/AMD Quad core CPU & plenty of SSD storage.
it should be fine; Have u tried Vmware workstation? you can get 30-day trial I think.
No I haven’t. I’ve always used used virtual box and hype-V.
I need to find out about the differences between VMware Player and Workstation.
Thanks for your reply!
Workstation give us more configuration options, custom network setup; I think up to 9 separated/segmented networks; creation of new VMware machines, some other features.
Yes, have not had any issues running VIRL this way.
Your RAM is plenty but you will hit VIRL's limitation of 20 nodes. This is the drawback in my opinion.
