    IOS Alert Emails

    Marty

I am curious about something. I subscribe to IOS alerts and I Received one for our 2960x's. It says the alert type is "Obsolete File", what does that mean? I assume it means that is it going away, but I like to verify because things can have two meanings at times.  I tried to open a case but Cisco's support website keeps failing. I also searched the web but found nothing.

it probably means they have new updated version of software. check web site; check the latest image.  compare ios name; if name is the same, compare date of release.

Note: the latest not always the best. see Reviews of software before implementing
