I passed my CCNA back in August but I don't really work with IT that much. I took the class and exam to see if it was something I wanted to do since I am considering a career change. After a few months (including some Microsoft Certifications) I decided to pursue a Cisco Voice path program and I enrolled in a CCNA Voice class. My question is it looks like you can get the CCNA Voice certification by taking either the 640-460 or the 642-436 exam. Which exam should I be looking at? Just glancing at certain study materials leads me to believe 642-436 is a bit more challenging but I may be mistaken. Also, it looks like 642-436 is a requirement for CCVP so if I want to move into that (and I think that I do) it seems like it would only make sense to take 642-436.
Thanks for any help,
I think 642-436 is better because a part of CCVP i also did the same and complete my CCVP. if you need any Book or Presentation then send me p.message.
Wish all the best.
Hi guys, I'm beginning study for CCNA Voice, with CCVP in mind. I just wanna ask for help with study materials, simulators, etc n just general advice.
Muhammad, I'll sincerely be grateful for your assistance. Thanks. firstname.lastname@example.org
I think the best option to study i what s better for you. For example here in my country we don´t have large companies with Voip network...so the CCNA Voice better suite the market. Also I don´t want to persuit the CCVP instead i will go to the CCNP track.
With this in mind I began to study the 640-460 exam this week.
I'm planning to make my career in UCCE, however I've only basic knowledge of networking. Can anyone guide me what are the certifications that I need to do. Also can anyone provide me the tutorials and videos link for the required certification.
To start get certified in any Cisco specialisation the first certification is CCNA. This will provide foundation knowledge of networks and the infrastructure on which it is based. After that exam you will follow the voice track as provided here: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/learning_career_certifications_and_learning_paths_home.html.
For more information on the CCNA exam you may check this link: http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le0/le9/learning_certification_type_home.html, it will show the course overview. For self study, the recommended material is the Cisco Press Books. The self study guides from Cisco for CCNA are found here: http://www.ciscopress.com/markets/detail.asp?st=44711, you may check the names and then find out if you can get them used from amazon/ebay to reduce cost. If you preferclassroon learning you may look into training locator under the CCNA page and be able to find a learning center close to you.
Good links are available online that will discuss many of the topics, youtube videos normally cover short portions of modules which are strong re-enforcement.
Happy Studying for the new year.
