I have heard that there are also plans to remove ATM from the new version can you verify if this is the case?
Also are there any plans to add more seats for the SP Lab at RTP or San Jose to make lab dates more available?
As far as I recall there are only 2 seats for the SP lab at each location.
Thanks a lot for the update Vincent !!
But when the introduced the core knowledge section, they did not give a 6-months time gap. That is why I am woried whether they may not gie enough gap his time as well. Any idea about when they are going to announce? Could there be any minor changes (like addtion of troubleshootong, etc) in SPv2, before they announce SPv3.
Well For the Blueprint changes they provide atleast a 6 months time
as they did in RnS
For the OEQ since it was not a Blueprint change, that is understandable
still u have more than 6 months time
Do not worry and focus on studeis
even i was worried; but many expert adviced me rather than worrying about updates
focus on study and achieve your Goal
Thank you very much for having the time to participate in this group. Regarding the upcoming upgrade to v3.0. I was wondering if it is possible for you to share some more details about the equipment changes that will be coming...
You mentioned that both IOS-XR and IOS will be tested. Could you be just a little bit more specific as to the hardware that will be in use? I'm sure that many candidates that are considering SP certification in the next 18 months or so are concerned about this and may want to plan hardware investment. It would greatly help if you could help them plan that.
Thanks in advance!

The wait is over. The changes to the CCIE Service Provider have been announced today and will respect the 6 month in advance notice.
If you have scheduled a lab seat before April 18 2011 you can continue using the v2.0 blueprint as your primary study resource. The v3.0 blueprint and the hardware and software list will likely be announced shortly.
As per Cisco Cert,
CCIE Service Provider: Core Knowledge and Troubleshooting Sections
Will the CCIE SP Lab Exam have open-ended Core Knowledge questions? Is there a separate troubleshooting section?
No, in version 3.0 of the CCIE Service Provider Lab Exam, the open-ended Core Knowledge questions have been retired. The format is now a single eight-hour section that integrates configuration and troubleshooting questions.
Hope this clarifies everything
