if you have a direct DIA connection with your ISP and you want to advertise specific networks without using BGP. how would you do it?
If they are specific (never change) ask the ISP to advertise them for you
You run whatever protocol your ISP needs/wants you to. But they will advertise your network(s) out to the rest of the world for you.
In smaller connections, it's most likely just a static route on your side!
thanks guys for the answer, i thought the configuration was going to be on the ISP side of the wall. i couldnt think of anyway on my side to do to advertise a specifc network. but i was told i was wrong. oh well.
Nope, if YOU want to interact with the SP, you have to play on their terms. Kinda takes the fun out of things, but it is what it is.
