Great question. Here is what my router told me when I tried this:
R1(config)#username test privilege 15 secret cisco
R1(config)#username test password bubba
ERROR: Can not have both a user password and a user secret.
Please choose one or the other.
Looks like it won't allow both at the same time.

Thanks for the reply.
So can I use the secret cmd for Chap? I have only seen it as the password cmd and didn't know if the secret would work with Chap. I would guess we can.
Between 2 Cisco routers, if PPP authentication chap is being used, the "password" option for the username needs to be used, instead of the "secret" keyword. (kind of a bummer).
