I think gns3 emulation is good enough to pratice for the ccnp routing. Could you give me suggestions for the ccnp switching?. I've a layer 2/3 access in my work, but i would like to tear/setup and pratice on my own.
you will need at least 1 of c3550 SMI or EMI (2 is better) and/or c3560 (still expensive)
and 2 c2950 or other layer 2 switches
that's exactly why i'm looking for cheaper solutions. is there any hosted solution. for e.g., may be buy a 100 hrs package to remote hosted network to practice for the exam.
I'd talk to proctorlabs.com They host rack sessions for CCIE training. I know their racks have 4 3550 or 3560 switches and they work great. That's what I use for rack time. It's pretty cheap too.
thanks for the information.
Martin- I think, it make sense to buy devices eventhough it costs a little more, but i can sell it after completing all the exams.
I've found couple of 2950 for really cheap price, somewhere around $20.
Any thoughts guys????
i'm not finding ccnp switch offical certification guide helpful in preparation for exam. i'm going to buy couple of access and multilayer switch and also, cnnp switch lab manual for practical.
Any suggestion for books?.
