I am CCNA Certified with minimal experience, should I pursue a CCNP

I am thinking about going for my CCNP now that I have my CCNA. I have about 3 years of experience working in PC troubleshooting roles and a Bachelors degree in Information Technology. I also have a year worth of internship experience working with a network engineering team in a large company. I can't seem to find any jobs in Networking and when I do, someone with more experience comes along and takes the position.

Should I pursue my CCNP without a lot of networking experience? If not, what should I do to set my self apart from other candidates?
