you need SDM; you can install SDM on your PC and used MS lopback to connect to GNS3 router; or use one of old routers if they support SDM.
You suppose to read autthorized study guide first; then officail cert guide;
there is a lab manual, I think;
Also, having one c29xx switch would not hurt (L2 security);
To help you prepare for the CCNA Security exam, you can find a handful of study resources and recommended training in the 640-553 IINS Study/Learn page here.
Cisco highly recommends that certification candidates train with Cisco Learning Partners for authorized course offerings that align with current Cisco exam topics. A current list of Cisco Learning Partners can be accessed at http://www.cisco.com/go/class_locator where the necessary training can be provided.
Laslty, please also feel free to check out the free Self-Assessment for SECURITY available on the Cisco Learning Network here.
Good luck on your CCNA Security pursuit!

for the Study side make sure you use Cisco Authorized books, they help out a lot. I also use Videos from either CBT nuggets or INE.COM either one is good and should help you out a lot while you are reading the section and then you can watch how it is done and then do it yourself for better hands on.
Also youtube does have a few other videos also, but i have not seen them so i would make sure that you use them only for futher info and not fully reley on them, as they can be wrong and really outdated in the info
Good luck in the studies
