I passed my ICND1 yesterday! I'm a CCENT now
The exam was a little easier than I expected, but strangely enough one of my strongest areas outside of the exam was one of my weakest areas on my score chart :-/ It was still one of the hardest IT exams I've done though.
I studied using CBT Nuggets series from Jeremy Cioara, then topped up my knoweldge with the Wendell Odom books, I then took a lot of mock exams using the free Boson program that came with books, and the quesitons here on Learning Network. I studied for around an hour each night for about four days a week, then an hour on a Sunday and it took my from June to the end of August (I had a week out of that for my Red Hat Certifed Engineers course and exam that I was sent on through my job).
I had no previous Cisco knoweldge, but I did already work in IT, I chose the topic because I thought my networking skills were weak.
I'm having a week and a half study break then I'm going to start on ICND2 from the 19th of Sept. hoping to pass ICND2/CCNA before the end of the year.
Thanks go to all who replied to mine, and other questions in the Discussion group. Your help is excellent.
