Course Description

This e-learning course introduces basic knowledge of video technology. Topics  include Video Basics, Analog Video, Digital Video, Encoding and Streaming, and  Cisco Video Products.

 

The course begins with definitions and concepts such as:

  • Video as a series of still images presented at a speed that gives the illusion of motion
  • Analog video utilizes fluctuations in the electronic waveform to represent brightness and color
  • Digital video comprises binary numbers to represent image data

 

Course Objectives

Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet the overall objective of obtaining foundational knowledge to proceed towards building video-networking skills.
