Lesson 2: Cisco Nexus Hardware
In this training video lesson from this series on how to get started with your CCNA Data Center studies, Cisco Technical Expert Carlos Lopez outlines the Cisco Nexus platform. Carlos defines which key features (port density, port speed, expansion module support, and layer 3 support) help differentiate various Nexus models. Taking a break to answer questions from participants, Carlos explains why Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) is common within data centers, including that it helps to consolidate cabling into a single medium for both fiber channel and Ethernet traffic. In general, Carlos supplies fundamental information, helping to identify and distinguish Nexus models 2000, 5000, 6000, and 7000 series.
