Omar Santos, Principal Engineer of Cisco's Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) – within the Security Research and Operations organization mentors and leads engineers and incident managers during the investigation and resolution of security vulnerabilities in all Cisco products. Omar has over 20 years of experience (17 at Cisco) working with information technology and cyber security. Omar has designed, implemented, and supported numerous secure networks for Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. government. Prior to his current role, he was a technical leader within the World Wide Security Practice and Cisco's Technical Assistance Center (TAC), where he taught, led, and mentored many engineers within both organizations. Peter Palúch, Cisco VIP and Cisco Networking Academy Instructor – Cisco designated VIP Peter Palúch is an assistant professor and a Cisco Networking Academy instructor at the University of Zilina, Slovakia. His fields of interest include routing, switching, and Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) technologies. He is a seasoned teacher who has cooperated in various educational activities in Slovakia and abroad, focusing particularly on networking and Linux-based network server systems. Peter holds a doctoral degree in the area of VoIP quality degradation factors; he also holds CCIP certification (retired by Cisco) and CCIE certification no. 23527 in routing and switching.
Jazib Frahim, Principal Engineer in the Security Services Practice of Cisco's Advanced Services – Jazib (CCIE No. 5459) is responsible for guiding customers in the design and implementation of their networks with a focus in network security. He also leads a team of solutions architects to guide them through the lifecycle of services and solutions development. Aaron Woland, Senior Secure Access Engineer at Cisco Systems – Aaron (CCIE No. 20113) works with Cisco's largest customers all over the world. Jamey Heary, Distinguished Systems Engineer at Cisco Systems – Jamey (CCIE No. 7680) works as a trusted security advisor to Cisco customers and business groups. Scott Empson, Chair of the Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology degree program at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada – Scott teaches Cisco routing, switching, network design, and leadership courses in a variety of different programs (certificate, diploma, and applied degree) at the postsecondary level. Scott is also the program coordinator of the Cisco Networking Academy Program at NAIT, an Area Support Centre for the province of Alberta. He has a Masters of Education degree along with three undergraduate degrees: a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in English; a Bachelor of Education, again with a major in English/Language Arts; and a Bachelor of Applied Information Systems Technology, with a major in Network Management. Allan Johnson, Cisco Networking Academy Instructor – Allan Johnson entered the academic world in 1999 after ten years as a business owner/operator to dedicate his efforts to his passion for teaching. He holds both an MBA and an M.Ed. in Occupational Training and Development. He is an information technology instructor at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas.
