Taken independently or as part of a live classroom, Performance Assessments (see Figures 7, 8, and 9) measure the student’s ability to complete routing and switching troubleshooting tasks. Score reports are accessed online via the Learning Management System and allow students to compare their individual work to the answer key and view detailed feedback on their performance.
All assessment labs are virtual and delivered using Cisco IOS on Linux (IOL) platform. They can be scheduled and accessed directly from the Cisco Expert-Level Training portal.
The program offers three types of assessments, scheduled individually or together depending on the product or content permission. They simulate the actual live lab exam experience:
Troubleshooting assessment labs are 2 hours long, with the option to extend by 1 hr twice. 11 troubleshooting labs TA01-TA11 are available to chose from.
Configuration assessment labs are 6 hours long, with the option to extend by 1 hr twice. 15 configuration labs CA01-CA15 are available to chose from.
Diagnostic assessment labs are 30 minutes long, without an option to extend. 3 diagnostic labs DIAG01-DIAG03 are available to chose from.
Students can compare the trend of their performance against other successful CCIE Routing and Switching candidates
The online assessment report offers personalized feedback, corrections, and explanations of best practices
Saves study time by identifying exactly where students need extra preparation
Includes a detailed Answer Key
Troubleshooting and configuration assessment labs are delivered on the same virtual platform as the CCIE lab exam – IOS on Linux (IOL)
Troubleshooting and configuration assessment labs include Mentor Guide tool which compares students and master configurations side by side
