ertification vs. Degree: What Do I Need to Succeed?

Cisco has just announced the Cisco CCNP Data Center certification major revision, which consists of Designing Cisco Data Center Infrastructure (DCID), Implementing Cisco Data Center Infrastructure (DCII), Implementing Cisco Data Center Virtualization and Automation (DCVAI), Implementing Cisco Data Center Unified Computing (DCUCI), and Troubleshooting Cisco Data Center Infrastructure (DCIT) exams. With this update, what has actually changed? The Cisco Learning Network team has provided a list of deltas that help outline which specific topics have come and gone.

What has changed?

The first change is the exam numbering for all CCNP Data Center exams. The new exam numbers are as follows:

NAME

NEW EXAM NUMBER

DCID

300-160

DCII

300-165

DCVAI300-170
DCUCI300-175
DCIT300-180

Besides new exam numbers, there are some significant changes to the DCID, DCII, DCVAI, DCUCI and DCIT exams – namely, the addition and removal of content from each exam. This blog will help you navigate these changes, so read on.
